Winter pool sessions in Holsworthy
Every Wednesday from October to March, Bude Canoe Club takes over the pool at Holsworthy Leisure Centre. It is the perfect place to learn to kayak, practise your roll and play canoe polo, whatever the weather.
Every Wednesday, October – March
- 6:45pm
- Arrive to get changed and kit up
- 7pm – 8pm
- General Skills. All abilities, including beginners. Rolling, paddling technique and building confidence, with friendly coaches.
- 8pm – 9pm
- Canoe Polo. Drills & skills, coaching and match play. Everyone welcome.
- Where
- Holsworthy Leisure Centre swimming pool, Victoria Hill, Holsworthy EX22 6LB
- Bring
- Suitable swimwear. All kit and boats provided.
One sign up gives you access to both sessions. Please arrive 15 minutes early to get changed and kit up, and help move the kit to storage at the end.

Our paddlers come from Bude, Holsworthy, Stratton, Widemouth Bay, Kilkhampton, Morwenstow, Marhamchurch, Bridgerule, Bradworthy, Hartland, Boscastle, Camelford, Launceston, Week St Mary, Shebbear, Hatherleigh, Okehampton, Bideford and Great Torrington, and from all over North Cornwall and West Devon.
